Venue confirmed for Mayo versus Dublin game

Mayo will be in familiar surroundings when they take on Dublin in round three of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship series.

The venue selected for the Group 2 fixture at 3.45 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, is Dr. Hyde Park in Roscommon – where Mayo have played on three occasions already this year.

On each of the previous three occasions they played – and defeated – the home county, the most recent win coming just last Saturday.

The Dubs will present a different challenge for Kevin McStay's men, who can go straight into the quarterfinals with victory over the defending All-Ireland champions by virtue of finishing top in the group.

Dublin can top the standings with a draw against Mayo thanks to their better scoring difference. Whichever county finishes second will have home advantage for the preliminary quarterfinals.

The other teams in the group, Roscommon and Cavan, will be fighting for a place in the preliminary quarterfinals when they meet at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford, on Saturday, June 15, at 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, Hastings Insurance MacHale Park in Castlebar has been confirmed as the venue for the All-Ireland series round three game between Donegal and Clare on Saturday, June 15, at 3 p.m.
