Reduced speed limit at busy Mayo village

A reduced speed limit is now in force at Breaffy, Castlebar.

The N60 road between the new N5 overbridge and Breaffy GAA grounds is now an 80kph speed zone.

The reduced limit is effective from today (June 13), Mayo County Council has advised motorists.

Issues with speeding traffic in the busy village have long been under discussion at council level.
