Saturday showdown in Castlebar as Mayo welcome Derry to town

The GAA has this evening confirmed that Mayo will face Derry on Saturday (June 22) in the All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarterfinal.

The game will be played in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar, with a throw-in time of 6.30 p.m.

It's one of three preliminary quarterfinals on Saturday, with Galway playing Monaghan in Pearse Stadium, Salthill, at 4 p.m., and Tyrone welcoming Roscommon to O'Neills Healy Park, Omagh, for a 5 p.m. start.

On Sunday (June 23), Louth host Cork in Grattan Park, Inniskeen, in the last of the four preliminary quarterfinals, with the game due to start at 3 p.m.

All of the weekend's preliminary quarterfinals will be available to view on GAAGO.

Meanwhile, Mayo's All-Ireland MFC semi-final against Armagh will be played in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford, on Sunday at 5.30 p.m.

Elsewhere, Ryan O'Donoghue has been named on the GAA.ie Football Team of the Week, taking his place at left corner-forward on the selection.
