Knockmore GAA Club recently demonstrated its commitment to the local community as they chose Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation as their charity partner for their recent fundraiser.

Their lip sync battle saw the stars of Knockmore take to the stage and deliver memorable performances as well as raise €10,000 for the charity.

Johnny Flynn, chairman of Knockmore GAA, said: “We were delighted once again to pick the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation as our charity partner. The service that is provided by Mayo Roscommon Hospice is invaluable to everyone in the area and we are delighted to be able to support them.”

Martina Jennings, CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, added: “The Knockmore community has been incredibly generous to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation over the last number of years.

"As well as raising €10,000 from their recent lip sync battle, they also donated €2,600 (not included in the €10,000) from their Coaches v Coaches Challenge at Christmas.

“We are so grateful to Knockmore GAA Club as the funds they raise go a long way in supporting families that require palliative care services.”
