Two Mayo towns named as Ireland's most fashionable

Cavan has been declared the most trend-setting town in Ireland, according to a recent study analysing fashion-related Google searches, while two of Mayo’s biggest towns follow suit.

The study examined searches for keywords such as ‘summer dress,’ ‘denim skirt,’ ‘flare jeans,’ and ‘Louis Vuitton bag’ to identify the most stylish locations across the country. The towns with the highest average monthly search volume per 10,000 people were ranked as the most fashionable.

Cavan leads the fashion stakes with an average monthly search volume of 1,510 per 10,000 people, a remarkable 63% above the national average of 928 per 10,000 people. The term ‘dress’ tops the search list with 132 queries per month, followed by ‘Debs dress’ and ‘summer dress.’

However, Ballina and Castlebar are hot on Cavan's fashionable heels. Ballina boasts a search volume of 1,431 per 10,000 people, securing its position as the second most stylish town. Castlebar ranks fifth with a search volume of 1,277 per 10,000 people, demonstrating its residents' keen interest in the latest fashion trends.

Joining them in the top five are Kildare with a search volume of 1,391 and Longford with 1,388.

In contrast, Bray has been identified as the location least enthusiastic about fashion, followed by Waterford and Cork.
