Praxis Care celebrates 40 years in Mayo

LEADING social care charity Praxis Care held a 40th anniversary party at The Cot and Cobble in Ballina, transforming the area into a vibrant celebration.

The organisation turned 40 on July 3, marking four decades of dedicated service and support for individuals with mental ill health, learning disabilities, autism and dementia.

The joyous event brought together the people Praxis Care supports, their families and friends, staff and the local community. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities including singing, dancing and live music from Doppler.

The party was hosted by four Praxis Care services - Foxford, Ballina Day Service, Station Lodge and Station House. These services provide support for individuals with mental ill health, intellectual disabilities and autism.

A highlight of the event was individuals supported by Praxis Care being awarded prized, including for best dressed and best dancer. Best dressed winners were Conor Joyce and Breege Molloy, with the best dancer award going to Caitlin O'Driscoll.
