Man to appear in court over alleged death threats to McDonald and Garda Commissioner

A man arrested in connection with alleged death threats made to Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris has been charged.
The man, who is in his 20s, was arrested by gardaí at a residence in south Dublin on Thursday morning.
He was questioned at a Garda station in the city.
On Thursday evening, gardaí said he had been charged under section 5 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Friday morning.
