Member of popular Mayo family dies in California

The death has taken place of John Brett, Anaheim, California, and late of Davitt’s Terrace, Castlebar.

John died peacefully yesterday in the loving care of his family after an illness bravely borne.

He is deeply mourned by his heartbroken wife Susanne, daughters Louisa and Astrid, their husbands Randy and Scott, and his grandchildren Ella and Stirling.

John, son of the late Marie and Tommy Brett, is also deeply regretted by his sisters Maura Moran, Galway, Joan Boyle, Clontarf, and Ann Duggan, Malahide, brothers Michael and Tomas, Castlebar, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and his nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his sisters Gay Moyles, Dublin and Geri Diamond, Westport.

Deepest sympathy is extended to his family, relations and many friends in Castlebar, throughout Ireland and in the USA.

His funeral will take place in Anaheim.
