Bathing prohibition updates for two Mayo beaches

In an update from local authorities, the prior warnings issued last Friday for Ballycastle Beach have been escalated to a Bathing Prohibition/Do Not Swim advisory as of July 23, 2024.

This prohibition will remain in effect until further notice.

In related news, all other prior warnings issued on July 19, 2024, have now been lifted.

However, the Bathing Prohibition/Do Not Swim advisory at Carrowmore Beach in Louisburgh, originally issued on July 11, 2024, is still in place and will continue until further notice.
