Three of the Mayo Women's Cup semi-finalists decided

THREE of the four semi-finalists for the Mayo Women's Cup were confirmed on Friday night - Castlebar Town, Kiltimagh Knock United and Crossmolina.

In the weekend's two quarterfinals, Kiltimagh Knock United prevailed over Westport United, while Castlebar Town had a comfortable win over Conn Rangers.

Manulla will play Swinford in the outstanding quarterfinal after winning their postponed first round match with Kilmore.

Defending champions Manulla took until the 89th minute to secure their progression in a good battle with Kilmore that ended 2-1 down in Erris, Lauren McLellan with the winner after Molly Boylan had equalised with 20 minutes left to play.

After a luckless league campaign, Kiltimagh Knock United enjoyed a 10-nil win over visiting Westport United. Kayla Doherty put five on the board and Shona Mahon bagged herself a hat-trick, with youngsters Ashleagh Salmon and Aine Monaghan also on the scoresheet.

In the only other game played at the weekend, Castlebar Town proved too strong for Conn Rangers in a contest that ended 7-2 in their favour. Amy Dowling led the way with five goals, while Shauna Bolger popped in two.

Conn started brightly when Chloe Stadler scored after 12 minutes, and Emily Yeates made it a 3-2 game on 47 minutes, but Town were to cruise to comfortable win.
