Normal service has resumed at Breaffy House Hotel following fire incident

FULL normal service has resumed at Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar, following a fire incident on the resort grounds earlier today.

An electrical fault caused a fire in one of the rooms at the IPAS centre.

The fire brigade were quickly on hand to contain the situation and following the containment and a thorough investigation, full service in the facility has been resumed.

All service in the hotel and restaurant area is not affected and is operating as normal.

Four people were treated for smoke inhalation but they have returned to the centre.

A spokesperson for Breaffy House highly commended the fire service for their speed and professionalism in dealing with and getting the situation under control.
