Connacht Rugby and Genesys join forces until 2027

Connacht Rugby have announced a further extension of its principal partnership with Genesys, a global cloud leader in AI-powered experience orchestration, until 2027.

As principal partner of Connacht Rugby, Genesys branding will continue to feature prominently on all Connacht Rugby apparel, including matchday kit for both the professional and women’s teams, for the next three seasons.

Genesys became principal partner of the club in 2020, which for the first time included both the men’s and women’s teams, providing significant support for the growth of the women’s game in Connacht at all levels.

This partnership was renewed in 2022 to cover until 2025, and both organisations are now delighted to confirm a further two-year commitment by Genesys to supporting rugby in Connacht.

Genesys opened its R&D centre in Galway in 2018, where it employs more than 450 people – chiefly software engineers with a focus on artificial intelligence. It’s the largest Genesys R&D centre in Europe and is recognised among Ireland’s best workplaces.

Willie Ruane, CEO of Connacht Rugby, commented: “For the last four years Genesys has provided invaluable support to Connacht Rugby and rugby in Connacht. Genesys is steadfast in their commitment to connecting with the community, and the wider global rugby audience, through the game of rugby. Their willingness to continue in this partnership for a further three years speaks volumes about the ambition of both organisations to continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.”

Joe Smyth, SVP of R&D, Digital and AI at Genesys, added: “With shared values around inclusion and a deep commitment to the local community, our partnership with Connacht Rugby has been deeply rewarding. As we continue our work together, I look forward to the greater awareness it will bring to the wealth of exciting tech career opportunities available across the west of Ireland.”
