Mixed conditions slated for county Mayo this weekend

A rise in temperatures is expected, according to the latest forecast.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 17

Mostly cloudy at first on Saturday with some well scattered showers moving southwards across the province. The showers will become isolated as the afternoon wears on and sunny spells will develop locally. Top temperatures of 16 to 18 Celsius in mostly moderate southwest winds, which will be fresher at times near coasts.

Becoming breezy next week with low pressure areas feeding in some rain or showers at times.

SATURDAY NIGHT

Besides the odd light shower it will be dry under broken cloud.

Lows of 9 to 13 degrees in mostly light west to south west winds, fresher near Atlantic coasts.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 18

Overall dry with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells, though a few well scattered showers will occur too.

Sunnier skies will gradually extend from southern counties later.

Highs of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest across the North and West in mostly moderate westerly winds.
