Signs erected by Tidy Towns committee in Mayo park targeted again

FOR the second month in a row, signs erected by Newport Tidy Towns committee have been targeted by vandals.

The signs were erected in the Princess Grace Park in the town by the hard-working committee.

Last month, disappointment was expressed after one of the new signs was damaged.

But now a second sign, which similarly gave visitors information about the local flora, has been destroyed, with Newport Tidy Towns calling out the vandalism on its Facebook page, saying 'Enough is enough'.

An appeal has issued for information as to who is responsible for causing the damage.
