Connacht GAA Centre in Mayo announces potential dream job for supporters

The Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence is offering a unique job opportunity for local GAA enthusiasts to join their team as a Groundsperson.

This role, offered through the Barnacarrol CE Scheme, is a developmental position designed to provide valuable experience while contributing to the upkeep of one of the premier GAA facilities in the region.

Located in Bekan, the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence boasts state-of-the-art amenities, making it a central hub for GAA activities in the province. The Centre's main building is equipped with a comprehensive suite of facilities aimed at supporting both games and community activities.

Key features include an Analysis Suite, two Physio Rooms, six Dressing and Referee Rooms, and ample storage space.

Beyond the game-based amenities, the Centre also houses the Connacht GAA Administrative Headquarters, complete with six offices, three meeting rooms, a Lecture Theatre, a Board Room, and a fully equipped dining hall with catering facilities.

Outdoors, the Centre features six pitches, including five full-size Prunty pitches and one 3G pitch, five of which are floodlit.

A 2.2 km perimeter walking and running track circles the grounds, providing a scenic route for visitors. The facility also offers extensive parking, with space for up to 400 cars and 20 buses.
