Milebush will hosting Mayo Women's Cup final next weekend.

Castlebar Town and Manulla to contest Mayo Women's Cup final

Crossmolina and Kiltimagh Knock United both found themselves knocked for nine in their respective Mayo Women's Cup semi-finals on Friday evening.

Castlebar Town and Manulla will go head to head in the final at Umbro Park, Milebush, on Saturday, September 7 (kick-off 6 p.m.), after comfortable victories.

For an understrength Kiltimagh Knock, there was some consolation in getting a goal through Rosie McDonnell in a better contested second half of their tie against Manulla in Knock. But the damage was done very early on with goals from Tracey Hall and Hannah Prendergast inside five minutes of kick-off setting the tone as the reigning champions led 6-0 at half-time.

Ultimately they were to run out 9-1 winners, with Hall accounting for four of the Manulla goals.

A similar story was unfolding in Castlebar where Town had three scores on the board inside the first 10 minutes of their match against Crossmolina courtesy of Ava Keane and Louise Dowling, who would both go on to register hat-tricks.

With the Premier League side leading 7-0 at the break, there was no comeback in sight for their Division one opponents, with Town recording a 9-0 win.
