Mayo to get Indian Summer as temperatures set to soar

Another humid night is forecast for the weekend, according to the latest forecast.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

Largely dry tomorrow with sunny spells.

There is a chance of the odd passing shower. Highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees in light variable breezes.

Turning cooler with rain and showers at times.

SATURDAY NIGHT

Clear spells at first with some heavy showers in parts of Leinster and Munster but turning cloudier from the northwest with patchy light rain and drizzle moving into west Ulster and Connacht by morning.

Another humid night with temperatures not falling below 13 to 16 degrees in light northerly breezes, more moderate near Atlantic coasts. Some mist and fog patches will develop.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

Mostly dull and cloudy with some patchy rain and drizzle about though there is a chance of heavier and more persistent rain in the southeast.

Becoming drier towards the evening with sunny spells developing.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.

North to northwest winds will be mostly light to moderate but fresher for Atlantic coasts.

SUNDAY NIGHT

Mostly dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells though there will be a few isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in light to moderate north westerly winds.
