Partnership boost confirmed for Mayo software firm

Ground Control, a leader in external maintenance and biodiversity, has today announced details of its partnership with Westport-based start-up SkillKo as part of its ongoing Irish expansion.

Ground Control who has its Irish headquarters in Swords, Dublin, employs over 1,100 people across its operations and in 2023 recorded revenues of £228 million.

The company officially launched in Ireland in May 2024.

As part of its €5 million Irish market investment to deliver its full range of services to the Irish market, it announced the creation of 150 new roles across the country.

Ground Control, who’s ambition is to become the number one net zero, biodiversity-gain-led grounds maintenance, energy, and decarbonisation company in Ireland, sees this partnership as a natural extension of its mission to deliver unparalleled value to its local field teams and clients.

This partnership will enable Ground Control to integrate SkillKo’s state-of-the-art platform into its suite of services, offering customers a seamless on-boarding process and compliance management, as they set out on their biodiversity and sustainability journey.

The Westport based start-up, SkillKo provides custom corporate training programs, certification and credentialing programs, as well as employee engagement and retention solutions.

By leveraging advanced technology and a user-centric platform, SkillKo provides businesses with these tools they need to upskill and manage their workforce, enhancing productivity and ensuring a competitive edge in the global marketplace.
