Mayo golfer is Connaught senior ladies champion

BALLINA Golf Club is celebrating a new Connaught champion.

Sinead Fox has been crowned the Golf Ireland Connaught senior ladies champion.

The club has paid tribute to their latest champion in extending congratulations on her title win: 'An absolutely huge achievement, Sinead, with brilliant golf needed to beat a very tough field.

'Everyone at Ballina Golf Club is super proud. Ballina Golf Club going from strength to strength this year!'

This success comes hot on the club's ladies making the Golf Ireland AIG Minor Foursomes All-Ireland semi-finals after beating Fintona in the quarterfinals.

They will face Howth Golf Club from Dublin in the semi-finals at Shannon Golf Club on Friday, September 20.
