Progress on bypass for south Mayo tourist village

CONG bypass is moving close to the route options being published.

Councillor Damien Ryan, who welcomed the progress, has asked for a timeframe on when the possible routes will be published.

He noted that while the route is short in terms of linear metres, the area it goes through is 'complex'.

Councillor Ryan wants to see lines on a map for the proposed Ballinrobe bypass, so it can move on, in phases if needed.

He has requested an update from the National Roads Office in Mayo.
