Mayo GAA Club Championships Team of the Week announced

The Mayo GAA Club Championship Team of the Week has been announced.

It follows the final round of group games in the Connacht Gold Senior, Egan Jewellers Intermediate and Treanlaur Catering Junior championships last weekend.

The team is as follows: John Vahey (Breaffy); John McMonagle (Castlebar Mitchels), Shane Gallagher (Kiltane), David McHale (Knockmore); Padraig O'Hora (Ballina Stephenites), David McBrien (Ballaghaderreen), Jude Clarke (Balla); Cathal Slattery (Garrymore), Jordan Flynn (Crossmolina Deel Rovers); Cian Walsh (Castlebar Mitchels B), Aidan O'Shea (Breaffy), Dylan Gallagher (Davitts); Rory Conway (Ballycroy), Adam Rehill (Burrishoole), Cillian O'Connor (Ballintubber).

The championships have now reached the knockout stages. First up are the Junior B quarterfinals this Sunday (September 22), as follows: Shrule/Glencorrib v Ballycastle (2 p.m. in Shrule) and Kilmovee Shamrocks v Ballycroy (2 p.m. in Kilmovee).

The remaining quarterfinals will be played the following weekend (September 28/29).

The senior fixtures are: Ballaghaderreen v Ballintubber, Saturday, September 28, 4 p.m. in Ballaghaderreen; Garrymore v Knockmore, Saturday, September 28, 8 p.m. in Garrymore; Breaffy v Westport, Sunday, September 29, 1 p.m. in Breaffy; Ballina Stephenites v Castlebar Mitchels, Sunday, September 29, 3.45 p.m. in James Stephens Park, Ballina.

In the intermediate championship, the quarterfinals are as follows: Moy Davitts v Hollymount/Carramore, Sunday, September 29, 1 p.m. in Foxford; Davitts v Kiltane, Saturday, September 28, 3.45 p.m. in Ballindine; The Neale v Crossmolina, Saturday, September 28, 3.45 p.m. in Cong; Ballinrobe v Ardnaree, Saturday, September 28, 6 p.m. in Flanagan Park, Ballinrobe.

The Junior A quarterfinals that weekend are as follows: Eastern Gaels v Northern Gaels, Saturday, September 28, 4.30 p.m. in Brickens; Ardagh v Bonniconlon, Sunday, September 29, 1 p.m. in Ardagh; Swinford v Killala, Sunday, September 29, 3.30 p.m., Robert McCallion Memorial Park, Swinford; Cill Chomáin v Tuar Mhic Eadaigh, Sunday, September 29, 2 p.m. in Cill Chomáin.

The confirmed relegation semi-finals are: senior - Kilmeena v Mayo Gaels, Saturday, September 28, 4.30 p.m. in Tuar Mhic Éadaigh; intermediate - Islandeady v Lahardane MacHales, Sunday, September 29, 3.30 p.m. in Parke, and Kiltimagh v Kilmaine, Sunday, September 29, 3.30 p.m. in Claremorris.
