BALLINA is once again gearing up to become the epicentre of arts, culture and creative expression as the Ballina Fringe Festival 2024 unveils its vibrant programme.

Running from October 4 to 13, this year’s festival promises to be an exhilarating blend of music, theatre, visual arts, literature, and more - a real cultural celebration in Ballina.

This year’s festival brings an eclectic array of performances and activities designed to inspire and engage attendees of all ages.

With something for everyone, this year’s programme includes live music with Arborist, winner of the prestigious Northern Ireland Music Prize 2023, supported by David Murphy on pedal steel guitar and AS Fanning, all the way from Berlin.

In visual arts, Belfast Print Works’ 'Nightmares, Dreams and Visions' exhibition visits Ballina en route to Boston, while the renowned Pure Ballina! Street art project returns with Clare-based artist SUFEK creating some more of the striking street art Ballina is so known for.

The 15th Divipassion International Film Festival relocates from twin town Athis-Mons to Ballina for the first time, this year showcasing some of Mayo's finest short film makers.

Live performances are a focal point of the festival with something for all ages. Dulra, an exploration of the natural world in Belleek Woods, is perfect for families, while Frigid, a coming of age one-woman play, is destined to thrill and delight at the Cot and Cobble.

David Irvine’s Totally Made Up Orchestra offers one of the more unique festival experiences that shouldn’t be missed.

As one of autumn’s most exciting festivals, Ballina Fringe Festival continues to build on its reputation for celebrating the best of local and national artistic talent. The festival is committed to fostering a spirit of inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that everyone in the community can participate in and enjoy the arts.
