Mayo Oscar Traynor squad released by manager Joe Kelly
Mayo’s Oscar Traynor squad has been announced ahead of the upcoming season.
Joe Kelly’s side came close to clinching the title last season, making it to the final but losing out on home soil to Waterford.
Expectedly, Castlebar Celtic dominate the list with no fewer than 9 of Stevie Gavin’s Super League winning side linking up with the county outfit.
A major headline grabbing coup is the acquisition of Glenhest Rovers star striker, Connor McCarthy. The former FC United of Manchester forward blitzed the Mayo Premier League as his side went unbeaten to win the second tier gong and ensure promotion.
Former Mayo GAA goalkeeper Micheal Schlingermann of Kiltimagh/Knock United has also been named as part of the squad with Stefen Hester and James Robinson also included as options between the sticks.
