Weekend weather update for county Mayo

A brisk few days are on the horizon, according to the latest forecast.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

Tomorrow will bring scattered cloud and good sunny spells at times too.

A few isolated showers will develop in places too.

Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees in light to moderate west to south west breeze.

Rather mixed weather over the next few days and quite cold too for this time of year.

Rain, heavy in parts, will spread up from the south west, over much of the country during Saturday night and Sunday, reaching the north coast Sunday afternoon, and accompanied by fresh to strong and gusty easterly winds.

Some spot flooding may occur in parts too.

Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.

The rain should turn more patchy on Sunday evening and night with a lighter northerly breeze setting in.

Lowest temperatures of around 7 to 10 degrees.
