CCTV coming soon to underpass in Mayo county town

THE installation of a CCTV camera at the underpass between Marsh House and Lough Lannagh in Castlebar is being finalised.

Local councillors were told a meeting is taking place at the beginning of October with the gardaí to finalise the camera's installation.

On CCTV around Castlebar in general, elected representatives were told there are two cameras in the town park, which were repaired last year and are operational.

Two cameras at Lough Lannagh were repaired in the last four to five weeks and they too are operational.
