Mayo restaurant closing as new venture begins

THE Towers Bar and Restaurant at Westport Quay is closing.

The business owners are moving on to a new venture in the town at JJ O'Malley's on Bridge Street.

The news was announced on Facebook yesterday: 'Today marks a bittersweet day as we announce the closing of The Towers Bar and Restaurant. It has been an incredibly difficult decision to make, but now feels like the right time to close this chapter as we begin a new one.

'First and foremost we would like to thank our incredible staff, past and present. We owe our success to your hard work, dedication, and passion. Without you, The Towers would not have been what it was - a place filled with warmth, great food, and wonderful memories.

'To our loyal customers and friends, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Over the years, you have become more than just patrons - you’ve become part of our extended family.

'As we close this chapter, we are excited to focus on our new venture at JJ O'Malley's on Bridge Street. We hope to see many familiar faces and receive your continued support as we begin this new journey. Here’s to building a new thriving business together and creating something Special in JJ’s!
