Popular Mayo cafe closing with new direction into Thai food

A LANDMARK Mayo cafe is closing this weekend, with a new direction being taken for the business with Thai food.

Gavin's Cafe, on Westport's Bridge Street, has been a big meeting place for the local community, situated in the very heart of the town.

The cafe will cease trading tomorrow (Saturday) at close of business, it was announced on their social media today, with thanks extended to everyone who has worked at or been customers of the business over the years.

The proprietors' dream of developing a Thai food concept will now become a reality and a Thai noodle bar will be coming to Westport very soon.
