“The government is committed to investing in rural Ireland and improving the quality of life for rural areas. This funding is very welcome news.”

“I to thank general election candidate Keira Keogh for contacting me in relation to some of those projects."

Also welcoming the news, Minister Alan Dillon stated: “The CLÁR programme is a great scheme to help make our communities better places to live, work and raise families.

"I congratulate the schools, sporting and community groups who worked alongside Mayo County Council to put forward these initiatives. This CLÁR funding will make an important contribution in getting the projects over the line.

‘These projects are hugely important to our local communities. It is important that as a government we continue to invest in rural Ireland in as many ways as possible. The Clár programme is a fantastic way that we can continue to do this.”
