MARCELLA CARNEY, CASTLEBAR

Marcella Carney, (née Kilcoyne), Glenard Road, Salthill, Galway, and formerly of Castlebar.

Predeceased by her parents John and Bridie Kilcoyne and by her siblings Fr. Colm, Fr. Seán and her sister Olive Hynes

It is with deep sadness that Marcella’s family share the news of her peaceful death in the wonderful care of the staff of the Shannon Ward at Galway University Hospital.

Dearly beloved wife of the late Eamon and much-loved mother of Seán, Fionnuala, Pearse and the late Sinéad.

Marcella will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her children, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Aisling, Fionn, Dúaltha, Oisín and Meagan, great grandson Ruadh, the extended Carney and Kilcoyne family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Thursday, from 7 to 8 p.m.

Arriving at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill on Friday in advance of Requiem Mass at 11 a.m.

Following Mass Marcella will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.

MARY DAVITT, GLENHEST

Mary Davitt. 62 Winnie Street, Moston, Manchester, and formerly of Bracklough, Glenhest, Newport.

Predeceased by her parents Molly and Jim Davitt, sister-in-law Mary Davitt 'London' and her niece Mary Aisling Davitt.

Mary will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family: brothers Michael and Paraic Davitt, sister-in-law Agnes Davitt, nephews, Seamus and Michael Davitt, nieces Joanne, Colette, Imelda and Fiona, aunt-in-law Nan McManamon.

Mary will be forever remembered with love by all her many grandnephews, grandnieces and god children, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends for which there are so many but no lesser thought of.

Mary will arrive to St Joseph’s Church Glenhest on Friday evening at 6 p.m .

Requiem Mass takes place on Saturday at 3 p.m. followed by burial in Annagh Cemetery.

BABY FREYA GALLAGHER COFFEY, BALLAGHADERREEN, AND ACHILL

Baby Freya Gallagher Coffet, Árd Doirin, Dalton Terrace, Ballaghaderreen, and Achill.

Died peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, following a brave journey in her six short months of life, in the arms of her mother and father, Brynda and Richard.

Freya will be cherished, loved and remembered forever by her heartbroken Mammy and Daddy, grandparents Denis and Caroline (Ballaghaderreen) and Mary C. (Achill), aunts Louise and Cathy, uncles Darrell and Eugene, cousins and a huge circle of family and family friends.

Much too precious for this world.

Sleeping in the arms of the angels.

Freya will be removed from The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Thursday at 10.30 a.m. to St. Nathy’s Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen, arriving for Mass of the Angels at 11 a.m.

Following Mass, Freya will be laid to rest with her grandfather Patrick, in Bunnacurry New Cemetery, Achill.

BREEGE KELLY, ACHILL

Breege Kelly (née Reilly), Woodfield, Cappagh Road, Barna, Galway, and formerly of The Points, Achill Sound.

Pre-deceased by her husband Eamonn and her son-in-law Eugene McCrossan.

Dearly loved mum of Carmel, Patricia and Eamonn Óg.

Breege will be greatly missed by her heartbroken family, her grandchildren Oisín, Ella-Rose, and Joy-Maria, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Suzanne, her sister Kathleen (Kay) Creaney, niece, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Cillín within The Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Barna, on Thursday, from 5.30 p.m..

Removal into the Church at 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon.

Funeral afterwards to Rahoon Cemetery where Breege will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Eamonn.

SHEILA MALLINSON, CASTLEBAR

Sheila Mallinson (née Moran), Norwich, England, and late of Rinshinna, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her husband Brian James Mallinson (Liverpool), parents Tom and Eileen Moran (Rinshinna, Castlebar), brother Michael Moran (Kilkenny Cross, Castlebar) and sister-in-law Teresa.

Deeply regretted by her loving family: daughters Denise, Siobhan, Suzanne, Mary and son Michael, grandchildren Omar, Grace, Alfie, Lily, Ellie, James, Eleni, Hadleigh, Tess, Henry, Peter and Paul, great grandson Eden, brother Tommie (Pontoon road, Castlebar), sister-in-law Kathleen, daughter-in-law Heather, sons-in-law Peter and Andreas and John, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Sheila's funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, at 1.30 p.m.

Burial of Cremains Ceremony will take place at a later date in Castlebar.

MARTIN O'BRIEN, SWINFORD

Martin O’Brien, Kingston, Massachusetts, USA, and formerly of Lissmullaney, Swinford.

He is sadly missed by his daughters and sons-in- law, Maria and Dennis and Dana and Sean, daughter Josephine and son Martin, along with his adoring grandchildren, Ainsley, Jack, Bobby, Hannah and Lilith and his sisters Marion, Kathleen, Bernie, Josephine and brothers, Michael, Tony and Desmond, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends in Boston and Ireland.

His cremation will take place in Boston following a private service.

TERESA O'HARA, BALLINA

Teresa O'Hara (née Dolan), Sligo Road, Ballina, formerly of Brierfield, Co. Galway, and North Finchley and East Finchley, London.

She died peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her husband Joe, sisters Nora, Bridie, Sarah and Mary, brothers Paddy and James.

Sadly missed by her daughter Fiona, brother John (Manchester), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her daughter Fiona’s residence Quignalecka, Sligo Road, Ballina, (F26 F8K1), this evening (Wednesday) from 6 until 8 p.m.

Funeral will arrive to Shannon Crematorium on Thursday for service at 12 noon.

MARY SHANNON, BEKAN

Mary Shannon, Cloontumper, Bekan, Claremorris, peacefully at her home in her 100th year.

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, brother Michael Nolan, Cloontumper, and sister-in-law Bridie

Reposing at Donnellan’s Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis, on Thursday evening from 6.30 with removal at 8 o’clock to St. Margaret Mary Church, Bekan.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

TOMMY JOE STENSON, AGHAMORE

Predeceased by his wife Ann and their son Thomas Junior.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, her son Patrick, parents Michael and Ellen and brothers Mick, Martin and John.

Deeply regretted by her loving sons Oliver and Shane, daughter-in-law Sandra, brother James (Killala Road, Ballina), sister Evelyn (Devenney, Ballina), grandchildren Robyn, Cillian & Katlyn, sisters-in-law Nellie (Reddington, Breaffy) and Maureen (Drumline, Co. Predeceased by her son Ivan, brother Michael and sister Julia.
