CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation to take leave of absence
From the date the general election is announced, the CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, Martina Jennings, will be taking a leave of absence from her role to run in the election.
The foundation has issued a statement on the matter.
It stated: "Martina has been a driving force behind the establishment of both the Mayo Hospice and Roscommon Hospice, ensuring both facilities became operational and phenomenally successful.
"She has also been pivotal in shaping future plans, while maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance."
Mike Smith, chairperson of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, added: “The care and well-being of patients at Mayo and Roscommon Hospices, as well as in the communities, remains our top priority.
"Our focus will continue to be on funding and providing and developing our palliative care services.
"I want to assure our users and supporters of the continuation of care to families in both Mayo and Roscommon.
"We wish Martina every success in her campaign.”
