Mayo astronaut on The Late Late Show tonight

A Mayo native who is set to become Ireland's first space traveller will be appearing on tonight's Late Late Show.

‍Aeronautical engineer Dr. Norah Patten, who was born in Ballina, will be joining Patrick Kielty to talk about her lifelong quest to become the first Irish person in space, and how this dream will soon become a reality with her upcoming research spaceflight.

Dr. Patten will be participating in a research mission aboard Virgin Galactic's commercial spacecraft, Delta, slated to commence operations in 2026.

Other guests include comedian and television presenter Dara Ó Briain and broadcaster, author, jewellery designer and self-described messer Angela Scanlon.

Galway hurler Joe Canning will be in studio as his new book, My Story, with Vincent Hogan, is published.

Victim of coercive control, Nicola Hanney will also sit down with Patrick. Her new book, Stronger: What Didn’t Kill Me, Made Me is Nicola’s harrowing account of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex, former Garda Paul Moody, who is due for release from prison later this year.

And Jason Donovan will be chatting about his time in Neighbours, being a teen icon of the '80s, reuniting on stage with Kylie, and going on tour next year to celebrate 35 years of hits on stage and screen.

The Coronas will perform a song from their new album, Thoughts and Observations, which reached number one in the Irish charts this week.
