Sally Rooney receives warm welcome at her home town literary festival

International best-selling author Sally Rooney received a warm and enthusiastic welcome at the Wild Atlantic Words Festival in Castlebar.
She spoke and presented prizes at the festival's short story competition.
The competition was judged by another acclaimed Mayo author, Mick McCormack.

Sally also read from her new book, Intermezzo, as well as signing copies for over 120 of her dedicated followers.
She was introduced by Ken Armstrong, one of her former mentors from the Castlebar Young Writers Group who, in an exceptional introduction, gave 'Intermezzo' a five-star rating.
