Thunderstorms and heavy showers ahead for county Mayo

A spell of mixed weather is on the horizon, according to the latest forecast.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17

It will be a rather cloudy start to tomorrow, Thursday, with some heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms possible.

The showers will ease and clear to the east in the afternoon with sunny spells developing.

Very high spring tides will again bring the chance of coastal flooding. Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees, with light southerly winds veering westerly by the afternoon.

Remaining unsettled to end the week and over the weekend with wet and breezy conditions at times.

THURSDAY NIGHT

A dry and largely clear start to the night but cloud will build from the west overnight with outbreaks rain pushing into the west and south.

Becoming breezy with southerly winds increasing moderate to fresh. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.
