Dexy returns to his Mayo roots on 'Creedon’s Musical Atlas of Ireland'

Music fans are in for a treat as Kevin Rowland, former frontman of the legendary pop band Dexys Midnight Runners, makes a special appearance on RTÉ One's Creedon’s Musical Atlas of Ireland.

The episode will air on Sunday, October 20, at 6:30 p.m..

In this episode, Rowland will sit down with host John Creedon to explore the themes of Irish music and identity, discussing his personal connection to Ireland.

Rowland was born in Birmingham but his parents hail from Crossmolina. The sneak peek shows Creedon speaking to Kevin Rowland inside the Old Post Office coffee shop along the banks of the River Deel.

Creedon teased the upcoming episode in a post on X (formerly Twitter), promising lively discussions on a range of musical topics, from showbands and Horslips to The Pogues and even Hip-Hop.
