Seven up for Martin and his fundraising for Mayo's Western Care

Mayoman Martin McFadden has donated a further €1,260 to Western Care Association from his flower and shrub sale, held in collaboration with PAX Whole Foods and Eco Products store in Westport.

This marks the seventh year of Martin’s fundraising initiative, bringing his total contributions to Western Care Association to an impressive €5,000.

Martin said: “I must thank Neal McKinley, owner of PAX store, who kindly provided space in her store throughout the summer.

"It’s important to give back to local charities and I look forward to continuing my support for Western Care Association in the future.”

Dr. Mary Boyd, CEO of Western Care Association, said: “We are so appreciative to Martin for his ongoing efforts to support Western Care Association.

"All of the funds raised by our community makes a significant impact, helping us to provide vital services to individuals and families who rely on our support.”

Western Care Association (WCA) is dedicated to providing support and services to children, young adults and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families in Co. Mayo.

WCA provides a range of services including residential services, day services, family support services and social and recreational activities.

Established in 1966, the voluntary organisation has played a crucial role in promoting the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in the community.
