Public information event on proposed N26 Ballina bypass scheduled for next week

A public information event concerning the proposed N26 Ballina bypass will be held next Thursday, October 24.

The event aims to provide residents and stakeholders with the opportunity to learn more about the project and share their views on the proposed new road.

Taking place at the Great National Hotel in Ballina, the event will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering attendees ample time to engage with planners and provide feedback.

Minister Dara Calleary has urged all residents of Ballina, especially those living near the proposed bypass route, to attend the event and contribute to the discussion.

"This is an important development for the town, and it’s vital that people have their say on the plans," he said, encouraging active participation in shaping the future of the region’s transport infrastructure.

The N26 Ballina bypass has been under discussion for some time, with hopes that the new road will alleviate congestion and improve connectivity in the region.

The event will include detailed presentations and provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions and raise any concerns.
