Volunteer fair to take place at ATU Mayo campus in Castlebar

The Mayo Volunteer Centre, in collaboration with ATU Mayo, is set to host a Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, October 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event will take place at the ATU Campus Building in Castlebar and aims to connect local organisations with potential volunteers, including students and members of the public.

The Volunteer Fair is an ideal opportunity for community groups and charities to raise brand awareness, promote their causes, and attract young volunteers.

Organisations attending the event will have the chance to meet with hundreds of students studying a variety of relevant courses, including General Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Social Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, Community Development and Youth Work, History and Geography, and Outdoor Education.

Many of these students are seeking valuable hands-on experience in their fields, and the Volunteer Fair will allow local organisations to engage directly with them, providing information about services they offer to the community and the volunteering opportunities available.

The event offers a free stand or table for participating organizations, but advance booking is required. To secure a place, interested groups can register here.
