Witness appeal to fatal road accident in Tubbercurry
GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Drimina, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, October 26.
The single-vehicle collision, involving a car, occurred at approximately 3.45 a.m. on the R294.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was fatally injured.
The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
The road is currently being examined by garda forensic collision investigators and remains closed, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
