Big breakthrough for Mayo rugby star

Dylan Rice, a fifth year student at St. Gerald's College, Castlebar, has been selected to represent the Ireland Under-18 club selection to play Italy in Padua this evening.

Dylan is an extremely talented player and his selection represents a wonderful opportunity for him.

Irish head coach Jamie Kirk is excited about the opportunity awaiting his team.

He said: “This presents the players with an invaluable opportunity for development, but also to perform in a test match environment.

"The group have worked hard together in preparing for the challenge ahead, and with many having the experience of the development camp in August we are looking forward to getting underway.”

Dylan is joined by five other Connacht players in today's match-day squad; Andrew Henson of Buccaneers, Ferdia O’Braonain from Corinthians, Leo Anic of Creggs, Sean Glennon from Ballinasloe and Kailin Blessing of Buccaneers.
