Contracts signed for three major projects in Mayo county town

Mayo County Council has signed contracts for the construction of three major developments in Castlebar.

They are:

1. The conversion of the of post office building at Mountain View into a youth centre.

2. The appointment of consultants for the proposed regeneration of the town's historic core at the Mall and Ellison Street backlands.

3. The appointment of consultants in respect of the renovation of the Order of Malta buildings.

The news has been welcomed by elected members of Castlebar Municipal District.
