Significant investment confirmed for Mayo college

St. Muredach's College, Ballina, is to receive funding for a major extension and refurbishment project.

Local Minister of State Dara Calleary stated: "As a very proud past pupil I am absolutely delighted to confirm a major extension and refurbishment for St. Muredach's College.

"It involves two new woodwork rooms, a new home economics room, a new art room, two special education rooms, a music room and other associated rooms.

"I congratulate principal Wayne Walsh and the fantastic staff, the board of management, parents council and all the students.

"There’s more to be done. This is only the start. I’ll work closely with all involved to finish it."
