Mayo business honoured for sustainability excellence

SOCIAL enterprise ACT (Accelerating Change Together), based in Ballina, walked away with a category win at the All-Ireland Sustainability Awards, held at the La Mon Hotel & Country Club in Belfast.

Specialists in architecture, planning and policy, ACT was crowned winner of the Housing, Buildings and Construction Initiative of the Year Award, for their focus on implementing sustainable development.

Now in its second year, the awards recognise businesses who have an unwavering commitment to sustainability across Ireland, in a diverse range of industries, including tourism and hospitality, manufacturing, technology, social enterprise and more.

With sustainability high on the agenda for all business, the awards received a record number of entries from across Ireland.

Mayo company ACT has demonstrated a commitment to creating a more sustainable future, driving innovation and positive environmental impact.

Organised by Triterra, and supported by ClimeAction, the All-Ireland Sustainability Awards recognise organisations that are setting ambitious goals and finding innovative ways to deliver sustainable solutions.
