Join James Kilbane for afternoon of folk songs at Errew Community Centre

ERREW Community Centre, Castlebar, will host an afternoon of folk music with renowned singer James Kilbane on Sunday, November 17, at 2 p.m.

James, inspired by the community’s dedication to transforming an old school building into a thriving community hub, felt compelled to lend his voice in support of such a valuable resource.

Having grown up on Achill Island, he understands the importance of local community spaces, especially in rural areas, where centres like Errew offer essential gathering places. Events like this save residents from having to travel to the nearest town for social gatherings, making them a cherished asset for small communities.

With a sold-out evening performance at 6 p.m. that evening, James will perform a second show at 2 p.m. on November 17, featuring an array of folk, Irish ballads and country classics. Tickets are €15, with all proceeds going toward the centre’s running costs. A raffle will also be held, and all support is greatly appreciated.
