Mayo Books & Bakes fundraiser for Gaza
A Books & Bakes fundraiser for Gaza is taking place on Saturday next, November 9, in Turlough Community Centre.
This all day coffee morning and book fair will run from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., with all funds raised going directly to Gaza go Bragh and Uisce for Gaza.
These two Irish organisations are working on the ground in Gaza, providing desperately needed clean water, food, tents and other vital items.
This family friendly event will feature teas, coffees, cakes and bakes all day, all genres of bargain books, as well as art for the kids. All offers of bakes for the day are welcome.

Gaza Go Bragh is a humanitarian organisation, dedicated to providing critical support to displaced families in Gaza. Their focus is on delivering essential aid - water, food and shelter - swiftly and transparently to those most in need, especially in areas that have been abandoned or overlooked.
Uisce for Gaza, led by the Kildare Palestine Solidarity Campaign (KPSC), is a project to provide vital support to those in desperate need. Every €360 raised funds a truck capable of delivering 4,500 litres of water. Once sufficient funds are collected for 30 days of deliveries, the project can also include food drops.
To date, over 52 trucks of water have been delivered, along with essential food supplies.
Both charities have GoFundMe pages where you can support them online. See the links below.
