Mayo FG candidates issued with an important election notice
The four Mayo Fine Gael candidates in the forthcoming general election have received an important notice.
Darragh Loftus, director of elections, has informed them they must immediately adhere to their respective divisions of areas.
He outlined: "Candidates have significant ground to cover and a similar number of electors to canvass.
"This division of area has been agreed after consultation with candidates or their agents.
"In consultation with the National Director of Elections, Olwyn Enright, this division takes immediate effect and will remain in force until polling day.
"This division of area will be kept under review and I will be contact if there is any amendment to these areas."
Westport area candidate Keira Keogh has been allocated an area (marked purple) with a total of 25,359 voters.
Castlebar areacandidate Minister of State Alan Dillon has been allocated an area (marked pink) with a total of 25,602 voters.
Claremorris area candidate Martina Jennings has been allocated an area (marked green) with a total of 25,718 voters
Ballina area candidate Councillor Mark Duffy has been allocated an area (marked orange) with a total of 26,015 voters.
