Mayo GAA club announces departure of manager

Ballinrobe GAA & LGFA Club has announced the departure of the men's intermediate team manager, Peter Ford.

The former Mayo player has stepped down after three years in charge of the team, bringing them to the county intermediate final of 2023.

Ballinrobe also reached the quarterfinals in 2022 and semi-finals this year, in which they lost to eventual county champions Crossmolina after extra time. The team also won the Micheal Walsh Cup title in 2023.

“A former distinguished wearer of the club jersey, Peter assembled an excellent backroom team that included John Gilrane, Colm Jennings, Billy Burke, Davy Walsh, David McDonnell, Evan Gannon and Emma Jennings.

“All involved in the club wish Peter and his backroom colleagues every success in the future and know that they will continue to keep Ballinrobe GAA Club very much in their hearts,” the club said in announcing Ford's departure on social media.
