Positive response to 16-unit housing proposal in Mayo county town

A proposal for 16 housing units at Humbert Way, The Curragh, Castlebar, has received a positive response from council planners.

Developers Martin Moran Builders Ltd. are behind the project, which comprises a mix of houses and apartments, in two blocks.

The site is characterised as part of the neighbouring residential scheme Humbert Close.

In recommending a grant of permission, a planner's report noted that the proposed scheme will provide 16 much needed residential units in Castlebar town, which has a housing target of 708 in the current Mayo County Development Plan 2022-2028.
