Roscommon venue for Mayo v Galway Connacht club hurling decider

Defending champions Tooreen will face Galway challengers Tynagh-Abbey/Duniry in the Connacht Intermediate Hurling Championship final on Saturday, November 23.

The east Mayo men return to Dr. Hyde Park in Roscommon – scene of their provincial semi-final victory over Londoners St. Gabriel's last Sunday – for this clash with the Galway club.

A throw-in time of 1.30 p.m. for tomorrow week's game has been confirmed by Connacht GAA.

In this year's Mayo final against Ballyhaunis and again in the Connacht quarterfinal and semi-final against Four Roads (Roscommon) and St. Gabriel's (London) respectively, Ray Larkin's men have had to overturn a half-time deficit to secure victory.

Tooreen are going for their fifth Connacht intermediate title in a row after winning the 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 titles in great fashion (the provincial championship wasn't played in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic).
