Mural celebrates vibrant south Mayo education facility

Youthreach Ballinrobe, in collaboration with Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB), has unveiled a vibrant new wall mural at the Youthreach Ballinrobe Further Education Centre.

The event also marked the 35th anniversary of Youthreach’s continued impact on the lives of young people in Mayo, recognising the dedication and hard work of students, staff and the local community.

The unveiling ceremony at the centre was followed by a tree-planting, symbolising the growth and prosperity of the Youthreach programme over the past three decades.

Minister of State Alan Dillon said the mural is ‘a powerful representation of the talent, imagination and dedication of Youthreach students’.

“Youthreach continues to be a vital part of our communities, providing young people with the education and skills they need for a bright future," he said.

Tom Grady, chief executive of MSLETB, also expressed his pride in the ongoing success of Youthreach programmes across the region.

"The mural is an important symbol of the positive impact Youthreach has on young people’s lives," Mr. Grady remarked. I look forward to seeing the continued growth of the programme and centre in the years to come."

Youthreach Ballinrobe continues to play a pivotal role in providing young people with opportunities to enhance their educational, personal, and vocational skills.
