Ring unveils plaque at Mayo bridge

MICHAEL Ring, in one of his last official duties as a Mayo Dáil representative, unveiled a plaque at a bridge in Achill today.

Mr. Ring unveiled the plaque in Doogort in honour of the funding he provided for the bridge during his tenure as Minister for Rural and Community Development.

Fine Gael general election candidate for Mayo, Keira Keogh, and Billy Scott from Achill were also in attendance.

Mr. Ring took the opportunity to thank Billy for all he has done for Achill and, likewise, Billy thanked Michael for what he has done for Doogort, Dooniver and the surrounding areas of Achill and Mayo.
